The chorus presents their 24th spring concert on June 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Concert venues include Pullen Memorial Baptist Church and Fairmont United Methodist Church in Raleigh, Calvary United Methodist Church in Durham, and Binkley Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. Showtimes are 7pm and 3pm.
Journey to the Past is a fantastic voyage through time and sound, featuring some of the most exciting music from yesterday and today. Concert goers will enjoy hits from groups like The Temptations, The Four Seasons, Kansas and Phillip Phillips. From age-old folk songs to swing; rock ballads to country twang; Broadway hits to millennial chart toppers, Journey to the Past has it all. It’s the one spring concert you won’t want to miss!
“We’re covering the gamut with this one,” says Jeff Whicker, Co-Artistic Director for TGMC. “We want to give audiences a taste of everything, so everyone has something to really enjoy.”
“This has been a tremendous season overall, and Journey to the Past is truly the icing on the cake,” says David Conroy, TGMC Board President.
Tickets for Journey to the Past are now available at tgmchorus.org for a suggested donation of $10. Shows will feature refreshments and a raffle drawing for prizes.
About the Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus
The Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus strives to provide a venue for gay and gay-affirming individuals to develop their interests and display their singing talents. A member of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses, their vision is to declare pride and touch lives by bringing brothers together to sing. Founded in 1995, TGMC has performed across the United States and Canada. The group performs songs from a range of musical genres, such as classical, popular, a cappella, jazz, blues, gospel and music from theatre and film.
TGMC recognizes the power of music to communicate important truths about common human conditions and the value of all people. It aims to do so by spreading joy through its live concert series.
