FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
(RALEIGH, NC) – November 2017
The Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus (TGMC) Presents “Christmas With A Twist”
The chorus will present their 23rd annual winter/holiday concert on December 2nd, 3rd, 9th and 10th. Concert venues include Pullen Memorial Baptist Church and Fairmont United Methodist Church in Raleigh, Calvary United Methodist Church in Durham, and Binkley Baptist Church in Chapel Hill. Showtimes are 7pm and 3pm.
Christmas With A Twist is an exciting departure from the traditional holiday music the chorus is known for. Featuring fresh arrangements of old favorites like “The 12 Days Of Christmas” and winter-themed, popular songs like “Let It Go” from Disney's Frozen, the concert will have something to get everyone into the holiday spirit.
"This year's concept is a true blend of music inspired by the holidays and this time of year,” says Michael J. Kroeplin, Artistic Director for TGMC. “It's a bit traditional, a bit wacky and campy, but all very uplifting and inspiring.”
For his debut concert with the chorus, Michael has encouraged the group to “sing outside the box” and tackle new and challenging pieces surely to delight audiences.
“We've worked really hard and are very proud of this one,” says Marqui Johnson, TGMC Board Secretary. “I think people will be surprised at how much TGMC has grown.”
Tickets for Christmas With A Twist are now on sale at tgmchorus.org for a suggested donation of $10. Shows will feature refreshments and a raffle drawing for prizes.
