In addition to the many fundraising activities scheduled throughout the year, TGMC also holds an Annual Patronage Campaign. The Patronage Campaign gives individuals and businesses in the community an opportunity to make annual, tax-deductible contributions to help defray the financial obligations of the chorus.

The expenses of an artistic group like TGMC are many and varied. Some expenses (costumes, music folders and transportation to concert venues) are borne by the members themselves. Other expenses (Director and accompanist salaries, music purchases, auditorium and equipment rentals) are borne by the chorus through member dues, artistic grants and concert revenues. As the organization continues to grow, the financial burdens increase accordingly and we depend more and more on the generosity of our friends in the community. Donations can be made directly or through the Triangle Community Foundation's web site.

What benefit
is there to be a
TGMC Patron?

The chorus recognizes the importance of our patrons whose contributions are the foundation of our ongoing success. Friends and Color Guard members are recognized in all concert programs and are invited to drop in on rehearsals to meet members of the chorus. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations of $5 or more.

Members of the TGMC Color Guard are also invited to join the chorus at a special Appreciation Reception along with their families and friends. Complimentary tickets to the Appreciation Reception are given with each Color Guard donation. Additional benefits, including advertising and private performances are also available to select Color Guard members. Specific information on these benefits follows:

How do I become a patron?

Becoming a TGMC patron is easy. If you are on the TGMC mailing list, you will be receiving an information packet in the mail during the fall Patronage Drive. Otherwise, contact the fundraising chairman through email, or regular mail. You will be contacted shortly thereafter.

Are there other
ways to financially support the Chorus?

YES! Occasionally, the chorus undertakes major works that may require the hiring of vocal or instrumental soloists and/or ensembles or a special venue. If you would like to underwrite all or part of the cost of a concert, please contact the president of the chorus and he will be happy to discuss your ideas. As a non-profit organization with full 501c(3) status, all contributions to the Triangle Gay Men's Chorus are tax-deductible.
