The Triangle Gay Men’s Chorus is named for the Triangle region of North Carolina, encompassing the cities of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. Our members reside in all three cities, as well as numerous smaller communities in the surrounding area. TGMC represents and contributes to the region’s vibrancy and diversity.

The Triangle Gay Men's Chorus is a member of the Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses (GALA).

The Triangle Gay Men's Chorus was founded by a group of 16 men on January 16, 1995. It presented its debut concert on June 3, 1995. Since then, TGMC has performed throughout the Triangle area. Besides the regular concert cycle, TGMC has performed for the following groups and events:

TGMC receives grants for its programs from the Durham Arts Council's Annual Arts Fund, and support from the North Carolina Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Cultural Resources, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

However, our largest source of financial support comes from individual donations and matching grants from their employers.
